Carnegie Hall Fund Raising
Performing at Carnegie Hall involves a financial commitment that the band board did not take lightly.
Hall rental, including staff, band transportation, meals, etc. will be a minimum of $50,000 for the evening.
$50,000 was out of our budget, but before we decided this was impossible, an anonymous philanthropic organization approached
our director, James Bast, with a very generous offer.
They would help sponsor our event with a dollar-for-dollar match of all revenue received by the band until May 1, 2017, up to a maximum of $20,000.
This assistance gave us the confidence to proceed.
There are several ways you can help fund this event:
- Come to our Carnegie Hall Event on May 20, 2017. We'd love to share this once-in-a-lifetime event with our friends, family and friends.
Ticket sales won't be available until we're closer to the event, but save the date now.
- Make a donation via our Carnegie Hall Donation Form.
- Those who make a monetary donation will be listed in the Carnegie Hall program - subject to printing deadlines.
- For every cumulative $300 donation, the donor will receive two complimentary ticktets. Tickets have been purchased, and this offer has been closed. We thank our generous supporters.
- Your generous donation will be matched dollar-for-dollar until we have reached the $20,000 cap of our philanthropic sponsor.
- Choose the Greater Shore Concert Band as a charity in Amazon Smile. Amazon.com will donate 0.5% of your purchase order to our band.
